Movember

It's Monday, the day after Halloween AND November 1st - the start of movember!  



Hubby - please don't do this to your chest! All though I wouldn't be upset to loose SOME of that chest hair! ;)

 

Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache! This campaign is designed to raise awareness and funds for the number one cancer affecting men – prostate cancer. Well this weekend was another non eventful weekend! Friday night I made dinner for my hubby and I! Sweet Chili Fish fillets, mixed veggies and sweet potato fries!! Yummm it was a great dinner! That was followed by a meeting with my business partner to rehash the Bridal trade show and to do some work on our website! We've got a few blog posts on there now! Saturday my hubby was working so I did a lot of running around, like grocery shopping and laundry! Fun times, my hubby came home for lunch which is always nice! Since it was All Hallows Eve I decided to make a special date night - scary movies and appy dinner! We love appetizers, they are probably our favorite foods! So I bought lots of wine and made lots of appies which included: homemade guacamole (I will post the recipes on my "fav recipe" page); maple baked brie, spicy spinach dip with water chestnuts! YUM and cranberry covered goat cheese!

We then moved the party to the basement for our scary movie night to begin... the first one up was "The Killer inside me" It was disturbing to say the least... a little hard to follow but overall a pretty good movie. Here's one of the disturbing images of hot hot Jessica Alba. However I came to the conclusion that scary movies aren't quite as scary when the actors are super famous. Because I know Jessica didn't really get hurt, she's Jessica Alba and this was just a movie! Whatever, it helps me sleep at night okay?

After this thriller we decided to opt for something on the lighter side... and I have to say this is my new FAV movie of the year! lol don't judge until you've seen it!

I know it's a kids movie! I'm a sucker! But it was SO cute. Again I think this was largely due to the fact that the main dragon - toothless reminds me SO much of Bobo!

Identical twins? Yes... Bobo is a baby dragon waiting to grow wings and fly around the house! No but aside from just their looks Bobo also reminded me of this dragon because she thinks she is queen of the world! And Toothless is the best dragon of them all - a night thrasher!  Okay, I'll quit talking about this before you all think I'm loony bins!

Sunday was filled with church and in law hang outs! I went to church with my sister & brother in law, neice and parents in law (not a word is it? Well I just made it one! Deal with it.) After church we went out for breakfast and caught up, then we went back to my parents in laws and my hubby came by for his lunch break to hang out too! It was a fun day and already almost 4pm so I knew I better be getting home to hand out candy to the kiddies!! Our first kids came at 4pm! We only had about 40 this year, I was expecting more so now I am left with lots of candy! ugh.... you know what that means? We have to eat it! hahaha

Monday: gym at noon, meeting with a bride tonight.

Tuesday: gym at noon, hair cut after work!

Wednesday: volunteering for the Children's Hospital Radio-a-thon answering phones for the afternoon and then baby siting our niece and going out for supper for my aunty's birthday.

Thursday: United Way Chili Cook Off at noon, and U of R Business Dinner at night.

Friday: gym at noon, my hubby is off to Medicine Hat for the weekend to play in the SK Cop Hockey tournament! I think we have another sushi night at the neighbours... could be interesting! lol hope I don't get narcolepsy again!

Saturday/Sunday: no plans!!
