pretty nice little Saturday

Since my surgery didn't go through, the weekend plans have changed... we've recently completed Stage 2 of our basement reno's!
Stage 1 - Movie Room complete with 50" plasma and surround sound; sectional and a fish tank built in the wall (Hubby's "man cave" )
Stage 2 - Completion of the main area (dry wall, tape/mud, paint, ceiling, lighting, flooring and furnishing--> bar, living space, work space and PARTY space!) 3 flat screen TVs to complete the perfect MAN CAVE!

Tonight is the official opening of Kress' Bar (also known as Pistols Saloon).  The name came because a) Hubby is a cop and b) while we were in Mexico Hubby picked up a couple glass shaped pistols that act as a booze canister! I will take lots of pictures tonight and post on Monday I promise!



Then on Saturday we actually have a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time. lol recognize that?

But actually we kind of do have a Saturday pretty similar to that planned... we are going to the Spring Home Show to check it out. This summer we decided we'd focus on our front yard. For some reason the previous owners were low budge and put in a gravel drive way... ya I know, I didn't even think that was an option when building a house. I guess its  the cheapskate option... regardless we are going to get that paved this year.  We are also going to extend the front flower bed - round and curve it and add tons of wild and bright flowers to spice up the front of our house. Our house is square in the front and then the two flower beds are square so it's just too much squareness going on! The flower bed closest to the neighbours house will be extended... like this...don't mind my child like drawing...

- White blob = extended rounded flower bed
- Black small squares - interlocking brick or paving stones side walk
- Big black square - paved drive way!

- Black hot mess = 8X10 Foot shed beside the house - hubby wants to build is the exact same as the house so it almost looks like an extension of the house. We desperately need the extra storage space so I can't wait for this shed to be built!

If there's time Saturday we're also going to check out a few show homes and go to Chapters! I am dying for Crazy Sexy Diet since B talks to highly of it!

Saturday night we are babysitting our neice Jordyn, Sunday we are going to church and then volunteering at the church for the afternoon (engaged encounter/NFP session).

It should be a good weekend!! :) I hope yours is FAB too!
