Bismarck

It's been a while since I've done a weekly play by play so I figure I am due.

First things first, my weekend! Friday was a fun filled family get together to celebrate the big news of the baby addition.  I ended up staying at the in laws until 11:30pm! Saturday I took my mom for her birthday pedi which was so relaxing and amazing. We went to Jane's Skin Care & Day Spa, they had a private room with two beds for us to cozy into! Saturday night was a GNO (girls night out) sushi first with Kelly, Carly and Ali.  Then off to the U of R cougar basketball game with Carly, Ali, Nicole, Karlene, Jenna and Lance. We hit up Brews East after for some beerlinis (beer mixed with belini slush! YUM!)

Sunday my business partner and I hit up the Wedding Expo and made some more great contacts for the business! I did some grocery shopping, made a really yummy dinner.  Salmon Melts with sweet potato fries! And settled in for the first Awards Show of the season! The Golden Globes!! The biggest shocker moment for me was the two gals who already have some drama over Ryan Reynolds... Sandy B and Scar Jo!

Sandra Bullock, Scarlett Johansson
Clearly these two REALLY do have the same taste!

I was also happy that the cast of Glee CLEANED up!!!
Gleeful line-up: The cast of Glee couldn't wait to get their hands on the trophy after winning best TV musical or comedy
picking up three of the top prizes including the award for best TV show, musical or comedy.

Although Glee's success meant Modern Family was snubbed! I still love you Modern Family!!!!!!!!

Today is Monday UGH - but it's already more than half way through the work day. I went to Yoga at noon! Tonight I have volleyball...that's right (for anyone that actually knows me knows that I have never played on an organized volleyball team before now...) a few cop wives and cops are playing in an all ladies rec league! Tonight is our 3rd night (4th game) and we haven't won a set yet! hahaha it's so much fun and good exercise though, so I clearly don't care to win!

Tuesday - Cheap night at the movie theatres!! LOVE IT! My hubby and I are BIG movie buffs! We are going for dinner and a movie with some couple buddies Justin and Britt (they recently got engaged! Now they are in the fiancees club! YAY) We are thinking of seeing:

It looks like a light hearted comedy!! Should be good.

Wednesday - 1 hour couple massages, can NOT wait for that! My lower back is in all kinds of knots and pain lately. Then we are having another couple hang out night with the Bradshaw's and Lance & Jenna! I also have a volleyball game at 9pm so I'm not sure how the night is going to play out exactly.

Thursday - my a little over due Brazilian (not as overdue as the last one which you may remember from my post Owe, Mother F'in Ouch F! And then just packing and getting ready for our big trip to Bismarck!!

Are you wondering where that is? Me too... so I googled "Bismarck" and this is what I found.

German Battleship 'Bismarck'

I'm sure you can appreciate my surprise since I thought we were going to a small US town where the shopping was decent and the drinking was good?

Well I figured I better be a little more specific (because for all I knew maybe the Bismarck ship sunk in Bismarck USA?)

This time I googled "Bismarck, USA" and got the right hits!

That's more like it!!!

My search of fun things to do didn't really spike my interest.

1. Papa's Pumpkin Patch - Wrong season
2. North Dakota Heritage Centre - Boring
3. Hawktree Golf Club - Wrong season AND boring!
4. State Capitol Building - boring...

My attention span isn't that long if everything is looking boring, so I can be sure that my weekend will be filled with Bantam Tier 2 hockey (that is the reason we are going since Hubby's little guys are playing) getting drunk with the parents, andddd shopping of course!! Can't wait!! Is it Friday yet?

  1. Sooooo basically Bismarck will be a weekend of training incase you have a son haha Bismarck has a few good stores (Kohls) I think and some good restaurants! Unless i'm confusing it with a different small US town, which is highly possible. Can't wait for tonight!!
