1 year down, a lifetime to go

Over the weekend hubby and I celebrated one year of marriage! Where does the time go??

Friday we got to the lake around supper time and just had dinner, a fire and watched a movie. We took it pretty easy which was nice.

We watched Source Code which is such a good movie!! Highly recommend, although the ending technically doesn't make logical sense, I still liked it and would prefer to live in la la land some times!!

Saturday we slept in and then went down to the main beach and hung out there for a little bit.

Then we went over to Jon’s parents place and hung out there, went swimming and chilled out, stayed for supper and had a bon fire til about 11 then we went back to my cabin and watched our wedding video!! It was so nice to watch it all! It brought back so many memories! I HIGHLY recommend getting your wedding professional video graphed!

Then Sunday we slept in and just chilled out, I ended up having a 2 and half hour nap on the hammock!! Hahahaha then went back to the city and did the condo tenant exchange (new tenants move in today), went to chapters for a bit and had a bite to eat at Montana's! Hahaha #pureclass then we went home and did our gift exchange and watched our shows (big brother and true blood!) hahaha it was a really good weekend, so relaxing and fun!!

Side note... remember a couple months ago when I cut my hair? http://lwifeylifey.blogspot.com/2011/05/bye-bye-long-lucsious-hello-short-sweet.html

Photos

So over the weekend I was playing with my brother in law's new toy. The Canon Rebel T3i and I instantly fell in love. It's an amazing camera! So i figured I should go out and by myself one too... why not? What's a grand these days anyway?

But for real, I can use this camera for my business and I've always loved photography. So I am like a little kid with a new toy...

A friend of mine (who also blogs and you should follow her) Alexandra's Joy did a June Photo Challenge where she took fun and creative shots. I loved the idea of this when I was reading her blog and I thought I want to do that! Well guess what? I am going to do the June photo challenge in August!! So stay tuned for the fun to begin!!

LOVE

I have so much I could blog about, weddings are one of the many things I could go on forever about. Mostly because my entire July consisted of weddings, 7!!! But if you want to know about those check out my wedding planning company face book page: Old, New, Borrowed & Blue Wedding and Event Planning there's hundreds of pictures of weddings, from simple and elegant to rustic and vintage to over the top girly and gorgeous we've done it all this summer!!
I'm a big Bachelor/Bachelorette fan and last season I blogged all about it. This summer has been a little more hectic and I've barely found the time to blog at all let alone about the Bachelorette. One thing I can say is that I've loved JP from the get go, I've seen their connection since that first romantic kiss in the rain!

Ashley, J.P.
The home town date

The Last one on one date
His smile is infectious and you can just see the love/passion between them. Don't get me wrong Ben was the nice goofy buddy and I'm sure they could've made it work but you just can't deny the burning passion of being in love. I really really want these two to last!

The Proposal

I truly wish these two the best of luck!!

Now on to the Bachelor Pad, full of hook ups and drama!! Can't wait!!

Hubby and I are also super into Big Brother!! Bring on the crazy with Brenchel, the cuteness of Jeff & Jordan and the pot stirring of Danielle! Love me some summer time drama!!

Number 1 Doucher

PUHLEASE go home this week!!!

Cassi - Most level headed hottie, went home too soon!

Also saw this fab movie on the weekend! LOVED it, Justin and Mila were amazing!!

Weddings, Baking, Weddings, Craven, Weddings

This weekend was filled with what else? A wedding. Friday I just took it easy with the hubster, we went to bed pretty early and watched you’ve got mail, hahahaha... I had never seen it before. And of course I fell asleep half way through! HOW DOES IT END? No, don't tell me! hahaha

Saturday was another wedding and it went over really well – a few glitches but nothing that we couldn’t handle! We ended up staying for the dinner which was nice she thought of us!!! All the pictures are on our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/BluePlanning Here are a few of my favs.

I left the wedding around 9pm and went home and watched Hall Pass with hubby. Hahaha it was pretty funny...

Sunday I went for a lake walk with my buddy Britt, got some new books from chapters, went to Winners and got some closet organizers and hangers and reorganized the whole top of our closets! It felt AMAZING to have that done!! Our closet (upper part) was just a disaster, stuff just thrown up there, so now it looks really good. AND went for my first ride on the back of Jon’s bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha it was fun!!! #bikerbabe?

Last night I baked 4 dozen chai latte cupcakes (for a wedding this weekend) ... yaaa they are AMAZING! I don't even like cake and these are to die for. I ended up baking an extra dozen reg. size and 36 minis for my staff bbq coming up!  I got this amazing recipe from  The Novice Chef 's blog!

Tonight I plan on icing all 150 cupcakes for the wedding this Saturday (4 dozen chocolate, 4 dozen vanilla, and 4 dozen Chai Latte!)

Wednesday Hub and I have a date night planned! The summer weather has just been to die for 25 - 36 every day! So of course date night is planned for outside - milky way - get some ice cream treats and then movie under the stars in vic park!!

Thursday - no real plans. And Friday I'm off work at 11am, gotta set up for this wedding - it's at Wascana Country Club! Then we are going to our couple buddies Lance and Jenna's and off to Craven for the night - we decided last minute we're going to go with them Friday and Sunday night. just take the bus in and out! It should be fun. Friday's line up is:

Saturday I have the wedding at 2pm and just gotta coordinate the ceremony and then come back at the end of the night to tear down... worst part! LOL then sunday we'll go back out to Craven for the day. Tickets were only $80 for weekend passes because of the flooding this year, everyone is selling their tickets for half price.  So it worked out really well that we didn’t buy them in advance for $160/each. I hate camping anyway so going for the music will be great.
